Next up, a biography of one of the great Baltimore Oriole First Baseman, Boog Powell! He was the power on the best Orioles teams ever in the 1960’s and early 1970’s! I remember these teams like they were yesterday!
Career Highlights:
- He was a 4-time All-Star.
- He won the American League Most Valuable Player Award (1970).
- He was an American League Champion with the Orioles in 1966, 1969, 1970 and 1971.
- He was a World Series Champion twice with the Orioles (1966, 1970).
- He was the AL Comeback Player of the Year twice (1966, 1975).
- He led the American League in 1964 with an outstanding .606 slugging percentage.
